Aunt Gola's Three Bean Salad

  • 1 can Red Beans in Brine
  • 1 can Channa in Brine
  • 1 can Tomato condensed Soup
  • 1 bundle of Bodi OR French beans 


Chop the following seasonings and set aside: 


  • 1 large onion cut in thin strips
  • 3 cloves crushed Garlic
  • 4-5 pimentos
  • Hot pepper chopped finely to taste. 


Combine these for Vinaigrette Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp each: salt, black pepper & Dijon mustard.
  • A few drops of lime pepper sauce (to taste) 


Wash then Cut bodi in bite side pieces. 

Drop in Rapid boiling water for 2 Minutes, then Drain. 

Have rapid boiling water in a pan at hand for rest of pulses…

Wash properly both channa & red beans in a colander with running water. 

Then pour the pulses in the rapid boiling water for a minute then drain immediately! 

Make sure all beans and pulses are well drained! 

In a serving dish , empty can of tomato condensed soup, add bodi & pulses, seasonings and vinaigrette, toss well and cover and leave in the fridge overnight to marinate. 

Taste and adjust seasonings to one’s liking.
